Hello every one, Hopefully you all are doing well. My question is a comparison on the 3M new product Super fina and the Spped glaze. It's a blue fine swirl removal/polish. It's used on the rotary with a blue waffle pad after a machine polish. I feel that its a copy or similar product as the M80 speed glaze, it is very oily and it stains the foam pad very similarly, while performing similar actions to the speed glaze. Has any one used this product? It was being showd at SEMA. My boss loves 3M and feels that its a quicker way of buffing a vehicle from beging to end then use a Meguiars wax. I personally like using the G-100 it is a bit more time consuming but it wastes less material and it is easier to clean up. How can I counter my boss with using Meguiars products, Pros and Cons? Thanks for the help!!!

Okay, that little tidbit of information helps a lot...
When it comes to choosing between Meguiar's and 3M for shop use, it really comes down to your results and your expectations. Both lines of products work well, we would like to think that our product line excels in finished results and this would be an important factor to quality minded people.
Does your boss do any of this work or is ti all you?
If he's not doing any of the wet sanding, cutting and polishing work, at least not on a daily basis, then what he thinks and what he knows are two different things...

Re: Question On Product Comparison!!!
Not to add another product into the mix but you should also consider Optimum polishes and compounds. Optimum series has infinate work times because the dont dust... so when you have worked the polish and its clear there is very little worry about add more marring because its dried out and dusting:
optimum polish is designed for light swirls and to be a finisher but you can check out their compound and hyper compound depending on your needs:

Re: Question On Product Comparison!!!
I don't think you can compare M80 and 3M Ultrafina SE. M80 can be used with a rotary only, while speed glaze can be used in many ways.
I know M80 works pretty good, and I haven't used Ultrafina, but still it's 3M's most recent product and as far as I know, all people who have used it stay with it.
But as Mike said: if you make the jobs, then try to suggest Meguiar's to your boss. If he doesn't want to change the product, well...stick to 3M.
Just remeber that if your technique is good, both systems will work great. So if you have to use Ultrafina SE, use it. it won't disappoint you.
P.S. forget trying to use ultrafina SE and a DA polisher/sander. I asked that question to 3M and they told me not to do that" Sometimes logic is your friend (Mike-In-Orange)"
