Luggage racks....

Just a quick question about luggage racks on top of SUV's.

Are you guys taping them off before you start polishing/waxing the vehicle or just leaving them bare then cleaning up afterwards? If your cleaning up after, what are you using to clean the product off of them?

I dress them first, and work by hand most of the time. This way if I make a mistake, the dressing makes it a snap to remove wax. I only tape if I work with a machine, which is not too often. Most vehicles don't have enough room to work with, and removing the luggage rack is not an option..
