  • Pro Detailers- Type of Flooring ?

For the professional detailers that have a dedicated garage for their business what type of flooring do you recommend ? I have looked into the epoxy and the rubber tiles but not sure of the best road to take.

i don't think MEGS offers a product for floors.

My dad has had the floor of his shop epoxy coated for about 4-5 years now. The shop is used to build race cars on a weekly basis, so new cars come in and out every week - plus foot traffic, ect. It has a couple areas that wore away due to jacks and jackstands constantly on it, but it really received the worst abuse ever ( not from my dad... thus he isn't happy... ) but still....

He'll probably re-do it within a year or two.

We have an epoxy floor in our shop. It is 4 years old and sees a tremendous amount of traffic

The light blue area is the washbay...

We applied two coats of Aquapon 35 (PPG), with very thorough preparation of the surface. Wish we would have applied a third coat, as it is all about the thickness/film build.

We are in our 4th year.

PM me after you've read some more...
