Is it possible to have swirl marks in clear bra?

We had a customer with a new vehicle that had the dealer installed swirl marks, wuite visible on the entire hood and also under the clear bra.

We removed the swirls from the hood but the lady insisted I polish the Clear Bra, refusing to believe the swirls were in the paint under the clear bra. Of course I refused. But 3M does state their film does have a layer of clear coat.

So is it possible for swirls in clear bra?

She also returned a couple of weeks later insisting another detail was able to remove the swirls from the surface of the clear bra!

    I am missing something??

Sure you can have swirls in a clear bra, we see it all the time.

As for polishing them out, I haven't tried myself because I didn't want to pay to replace it in case it didn't work. This type of plastic is very flexible and pliable, usually materials like this don't lend themselves to polishing/abrading with the intended goal of leaving a completely flat/smooth surface.

I could be possible however, I would like to find what kind of product they used and how they applied it, also it would be important to distinguish whether the swirls in the plastic were removed or filled-in.

I learned very early in my detailing life to have an open mind to new products, new ideas and new procedure, don't ever wall yourself off from change or you'll get left behind.
