  • Carbon Fiber Hoods

    Hi everyone:

I've been reading the posts in this forum and i think it's the most propper one to ask this question:

has someone detailed carbon fiber hoods before? if you have, what would you recommend me to do, and what cautions do i have to take?

    thanks

what would you use in a case where the hood isn't not faded and non shiney such as that?

what happens if the carbon fiber already has a nice layer of CC on it and your just looking to clean iit with the remaining sections of the car?

Clear coat is clear coat, whether it is metal, plastic, or carbon fiber under it.

If working by hand, a mild cleaner like DC#1 would be fine. Otherwise, #80, or #82 will also work.

Since it is clearcoat, polishing and waxing can also be done to preserve and protect it.
