Just to confirm. The Ultimate Wipes have been discontinued, correct?

so, if I see these in a store. should I buy them because its discontinued and might be a future collector item?

also, the replacement, supreme shine MF is the exact same type of towel as the Ultimate Wipes or just improved and better?

I figured they were discontinued since they were in the Ebay Store.

Supreme Shine seems to be a better quality. Much Better. The UWs are great to have around for multipurpuse use. I use the Supreme Shines on my finish and the UWs on most anything other than my finish.

If you can find them, I would recommend them. I don't know about them being a collectors item though. I forget the brand name of the product. But< I was at AutoZone and saw a product exactly the same. Made by some outfit up in Canada I think, I ran out to the truch and grabbed an ultimate wipe and took it in and compared the 2. They were exctly the same except for color.

I liked the white color for megs UW. I could use them and see when even after washing they were unsuitable for finish use and dedicate to another task.

The Supreme Shine is like the original Ultimate Wipe, but a bit thicker.

The new Ultimate Wipe, on the other hand, has more bite which can be desirable at times.

I like the smaller size and flatness of the Ultimate Wipe. Personally, I don't think there is a better microfiber made. The mechanical ability of the towel is simply the best I've ever used. If you use microfiber towels on a regular basis, you'll know what I mean. Bar none, I think you'd be hard pressed to find an equal. Hopefully, they'll be available again in the Meguiar's lineup (I let my rep know how much I liked them).

The Supreme Shine towel is nice, too... Bigger size, thicker, and super-pretty! I think they're a great value, and the packaging makes them more appealing from a retailer's standpoint. We used hundreds of them at the SEMA show. Like, six or seven hundred!

I rounded up quite a few of the bulk packed Ultimate Wipes... For now, they're stashed safely away. A lot of friends, customers, and family members REALLY like them. Plus, being white, they integrate perfectly in the kitchen!

Got me a hundred dozen or so...
Ditto Kevin. I bought 4 packs from the Katrina Fund Raiser. I like them alot. I still use them for pulling off cleaners & polishes but thats about it. I use the Supreme Shines for buffing and the Terry's for LSP removal when not using the DA.

The Ultimate wipe definatley has a place in my arsenal reserved for it if it ever becomes available again. I have not done a cost comparison of the Supreme Shine vs. the Ultimate WIpe. I don't see myslef stocking up on the Supreme Shines like I would the Ultimate wipe. For me, I keep 2 clean Supreme Shines with me in the truck as opposed to the 20 or so Ultimate Wipes. That kind of points to it effectness.

I'm pretty certain the Ultimate Wipes are MUCH more expensive (size versus cost). For guys like us, probably not a huge issue.

For the average consumer, I'm certain that if racked side-by-side in a retail store, the Supreme Shine would outsell the Ultimate Wipe 10 to 1 (Due to price, size, cosmetics, and cost).

Likely. I could not remember it. But I don't think Viking actually made them. On the package was some Kitchen Linen Manufacturer from Canada. I wrote it down and pulled it up on the net and they did make them.

I think they were only available in 2 packs though. For the versatility they offer, a 2 pack doesn't cut the mustard.

Could be. I might have to dig out the catalog when I get home and see if they are still in there. You have me curious about the cost now.

But for me. not being a pro, I have 5-6 Supreme Shines and about 100 Ultimate Wipes. Thats more than enough for me for the time being.

If you own a hundred Ultimate Wipes, you ARE a pro at something!

At the minimum, you're an expert on microfiber...
