How do you guys cope with polishing around badges like these

I just took the badges off of mine. I like the smoother cleaner body lines

Or if the paint behind the badge is in real need of polishing etc, maybe you could remove them, clean up and polish behind the badge and reapply?

i've seen some people use blue painters tape to cover the badges - and then just polish over it to avoid it

if you are trying to polish between i suggest using a towel w/ your fingers or a q-tip - but there is only so much you can get into. goodluck.

Heh heh, I like to debadge too And on some badges it pays to cover them with tape when you polish- I've really messed up the badges on the XJS with 20-some years of polishing

The badges in the pics look glued on. You could take them off but I don't think they'll go back on all that easily.

To polish around/in such badges I use a sharpened toothpick or wooden swab stick to poke cotton in the tight spots. Cotton makeup balls work great or you can just pull the cotton off a Q-Tip. Sometimes you can even get by with just the long nap of a plush MF.

Lots of #34 can help with excessive polish/LSP residue.

Be careful with the sticks so you don't poke through the cotton and mar the paint. And no, you can't use a soft toothbrush without marring the paint.

Like others suggested, I tape over them... but then I use lots of NXT Speed Detailer to get inside the letters. Yeah, probably not the ideal solution but seems to work pretty well without gumming up the works.
