Is the Meguiar's 3 step products as good as say the # 83 #82 followed by NXT Tech Wax then followed by #26 - all this to be done with PC....................

That's a good question, let me answer it with two answers.

First, if you applied both systems to a the same car, say did one half with one system and one half with the other system, I think you would be hard pressed to tell which side was which.

That said, I think you will get better results using the # 83/#82/NXT Tech Wax combo because the #83 is quite a bit more aggressive and effective at removing swirls, scratches, blemishes, etc than the Deep Crystal Step 1 Paint Cleaner, especially when applied using a PC.

Also, the #82 is also a cleaner/polish, a very mild one at that, but were not comparing apples to apples with the comparison you have laid out.

But to answer the question, I think you would see better results with your second plan of attack although the Deep Crystal System is also a very effective system for producing excellent results.

I have a hard time finding the #82 # 83 at local auto parts store but always see the 3 step products...........

Anyone in Houston stock the #82 #83 ??

Have you checked O'Rileys? They have the largested selection in Houston area.

I did and they didn't have it - Guess I'll have to check a few other stores. Seems some carry more than others - I'll have to keep looking or go a head and order it online......................

You need to go to a PBE Store, that stands for Paint, Body and Equipment.

PBE stores are like auto parts stores only besides selling things like batteries and starter motors, they also sell Paint, Spray Guns, and all kinds of other things that body shops need.

You an look in your phone book, or the next time you drive by a body shop, stop, walk up to the first dirty looking worker at the shop and ask them where they buy their compounds and polishes.

He'll point you in the right direction. Unlike major Hard Parts auto parts stores, like Kragen, Pep Boys, AutoZone, etc, PBE stores usually are more Mom & Popish and don't always have a big neon sign out front.

Once you find a PBE store, if they carry even one tan bottle of Meguiar's with a number on it, then they can order anything your heart desires.

Thanks guys - I did use the dealer locator and when I called the ones listed of course they didn't carry it. I guess I'll order online and stop all this running around - I hate that............. I just want to get some product and start detailing. By the way this is an awesome site and I really appreciate all the help and the cars you guys do look unbelievable................................
