Well if you ask me that is pretty much a loaded question because all the products serve a different purpose so you first need to find out what you are wanting to get out of detailing your vehicle and what sort of results you are looking for, then people can narrow down a little more for you on what you should be getting. With your open question we could actually suggest any given product to you but it might not fit the needs of your vehicle. So think about it for a minute and throw out what you are wanting to get in the form of results from Meguiar's products and then go from there.

    Welcome to Meguiar's as well

wel bassicly i want to keep it as good as new , with this i mean paint , interior , wheels
      everything you can think of
i have no idea what to really expect from it but everybody points me towards meguiars so i give it a shot cant be worse then the stuff i used with my old car

so bassicly i want it to shine nicely from paint to wheels to interior
i dont mind spending some time on washing it in my opinion its better to spend a few hours on it to preserve the good condition then to do a quick job and have the car suffer under it in time

Well, here is a list to start with.. though as Snowman mentioned, it may not fit your exact needs. But at least it is something to think about.

        1. Wash - Nxt Wash, or Gold Class Wash. Use one of the Meguiars wash mitts, and Two-Bucket method with a grit guard is possible. Dry with Water Magnet Towel.

        2. Clay - Clay with Meguiars Quick Clay. Clay paint first, then windows, then trim, then wheels.

        3. Clean - Use Deep Crystal System #1. It is a mild cleaner, easy to use, though wont remove any swirls/scratches if you have them.

        4. Polish - Use Deep Crystal System #2. This is a good polish.

        5. Wax - I would pick Nxt Tech Wax, but you can also use Gold Class Wax, or the DC#3. Remeber two thin coats is best.

        6. Maintain - After most washes, yo ucan use the Nxt Spray Wax to restore some looks and protection.

Wheels - Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner is a good a start as any, and you can use Insane Shine as a tire dressing.

Dash - Nxt Tech Protectant is fantastic I think. Wipe on, let sit, buff off.

Black Plastic, etc.. - You can use Hyper Dressing, All-Season Dressing, or Gold Class trim Detailer. I recomend the liquid trim detailer if you pick the Gold Class.

Chrome, Metal - Nxt Metal Polish

        Glass - Nxt Glass Cleaner

Wheelwells - APC is a good for wheelwells, underbody.

I'll also mention, one of my personal favorite combinations, is:

          1. Wash
          2. Clay
          3. ColorX
          4. Nxt Tech Wax

^^ That is the other thing, You will eventually find certain Meguiar products that you will use and you will love the results, so stick with them and don't change something that is already giving you what you need. But play around at first with all those items MURR just listed and see which are easier for you to work with and give you the look you desire.

*You will also hear Mike Phillips say it as well from what he tells us; "Find something you like and use it often"* Very true statement

Yeah, if you have everything available to you is a whole other story.. Sometimes you can only find certain things, esp overseas.

read the 5 step tutorial that is posted around here...

but to keep things simple, a car maintained with Meguiars Deep Crystal 3 step system will do a very very good job

                1. clean
                2. polish
                3. wax (replace with NXT for better results)

Shelf? I just got finished tidying up a bit. 4 shelves, 7 boxes and several gymbags. That isn't even including the gear already in the trunk.

hehe. I kept a bit of just about everything around. I never now what is gonna pull up in the driveway next.

I sure would like to see the size of your 'SHELF"!

The folks here have already covered most of this but I remebered Mike had put together a thread on the subject you might wish to look at.
