  • Any Ideas? Cement Splatter

I work with a guy who has cement splatter on his trailgate. Any ideas on a good way to remove it?

Here in Belgium, there is a so called "cement remover" that you can buy to remove cement spots, I don't know if your paint will survive it ...
Using a claybar is risky because you can drag cement spots over the paint and scracth the hellout of it !

      Check out this Link:
I recently went through a construction area and there must have been wet cement on the ground and I splashed through it. It's now cemented to side of my car by the wheelwell. What can I use to get it off without causing more scratches? I'm really upset about this and have brought it up with the city about the construction

        Hi,

That's my car in the thread that was just linked to. The vinegar & water solution worked pretty good. I found the key was to really soak it good with the vinegar, let it sit and then keep soak it agin. Repeat that several times. It didn't spray off with a hose but when I touched it with my finger it disintegrated pretty easy. I followed that up with an application of ColorX to that spot and then waxed the whole car. Now you'd never know it was there.

        Hope this helps.

I work construction and I was parked near where some guys were pouring a new sidewalk...I got splatter all over my 95 VW Jetta...I didn't really care much because it was my work car but it came off after a few rains and washes at the car wash...it was just speckles of dry cement.

However, I would guess that claying would remove the offending cement if it's just small speckles.
