  • MEG'S ODOR ELIMINATOR

    hello again to all,
I have a question for anyone else who uses Meg's odor eliminator. I have a little left that I have had for several years that is in a black spray bottle. This stuff is great and I really like the scent it leaves behind. Kind of an alcohol like scent but very pleasent. I bought the sampler size (32 oz) from autodetailingsolutions.com because I was ordering other stuff and said wth i'll get some more for when this is gone (I give the interior a couple sprays every week or so) Anyway, the stuff they sent me seems to be watered down or something. The scent is very faint and it only lasts maybe a day as opposed to a week or better from the older. Is the gallon size of odor elim. supposed to be diluted ie... maybe it just got a little too diluted, or is the newer stuff just not as strong as the old? If it should have a strong scent to it , and mine certainly does not, should i call them or email them and make a complaint or something. Hopefully someone else here uses this stuff regularly and can help. Thanks in advance for any input.

    Hey,

As far as I know, the formula has not changed that much. I use the Odor Eliminator in the gallon size from the Professional Series and have not noticed any change. I too use it quite often and quite like the product! Perhaps your older Odor Eliminator has become more concentrated due to age?

      Hi Freebird,
We do not dilute or water down any products or samplers here at Auto Detailing Solutions. All products and samplers are sold in thier respected full concentrate. Your 32 oz. sampler was poured straight out of a fresh gallon. We offer this size to customers as a convenience to try the product before investing in a full gallon. Maybe the gallon was bad but we have not had complaints from other customers. Please contact me directly and I will help you resolve your issue. (602) 317 9519

Nice to know you have a sampling program, albeit too late this time around.

I've just place a $700 order direct with Megs, and included a GALLON of #21 polymer sealant. Gosh, I hope I like it.

        I'll check your website!

Just a thought, maybe the odor eliminator in the black bottle was a different formula?

As I understand it the current version of OE does its thing by encapsulating the offending smelly molecules to neutralize the odor. I could see why they’d want to minimize any scent of its own.

                Re: ODOR ELIM

                Hi Rick,
I wasen't trying to say that anything was done intentionally wrong by you or your business. I just wondered since the odor elim comes in such a large size that maybe it was supposed to be mixed or something and maybe mine got a little too much or too little of something. It is not a problem at all it just had much less of a fragrance from the old. As far as the product goes there is nothing at all wrong with it and I am very pleased with all of my order from you. Hope you didn't take the original post as a complaint it was just an inquiry as to if Meg's changed the formula or something
