  • Mike Help!!!

    Mike,

Can you confirm what product combo is best.

    I have a black VW Golf, 2004.

I have been trying to remove the finest of swirls, but some just still remain - they are so fine, but STILL THERE!!!!!!

    I used:

    #83, with rotary (1400rpm) on W8006
    THEN
    #80, with rotary (1400rpm) on W8006
    THEN
#80 with Random Orbital on W8006.

After this process, there are still some minor swirls that can only be seen in direct sunlight. I am evaluating the finish with no wax, as i want to get rid of the swirls, not fill them in and cover them up.

I also have Swirl remover 2.0, and #7 Show car glaze, plus scratch X.

Should I be using something else?

My pads are clean, pressure is good and am using a clean meguiars supreme shine micro fibre.

Should i try swirl remover 2.0 with the rotary or R.O? Is it less abrasive and better than sped glaze?

    Thankyou for your time,

    Matt

I know you asked for mike, but I think that the aggressiveness of the pads and polishes you are using are micro-marring the finish. I can relate to this because I also have a black vehicle. After #83, I had to use #9 with a DA polisher with a meguiars finising pad. This took care of my slight swirls, hopefully it will work for you.
