Cleaner Wax

I've tried to avoid swirls so much, but it almost just seems inevitable. I have good sponges, a grit guard, I don't try my car with towels, blah blah blah. Oh well...

Anyway, I'm going to be using cleaner wax this weekend, and I'm a little nervous. I know that cleaner wax is basically designed to scratch your car more so finely that it evens out the surface so the other scratches go away. And I'm confident with normal wax and polish, etc.

Any tips on what to avoid or any tips in general on how to make my "cleaner wax experience" go really successfully? Thanks guys.

Also if it were my car i probably would use scratch X by hand with either high tech applicator if that doesnt improve it use a terry remember to use some elbow grease and break down the product unless you have a machine i recommend this then a cleaner wax because i dont think it will remove the paint defect...but remember i have not seen the paint defect....

The Consumer Line Cleaner Wax is actualy non-abrasive, and is a chemical cleaner like DC#1. If not a little milder.

To remove swirls with a cleaner wax, you would want to use something like ColorX. This has diminishing abrasives that will remove light swirling. You can apply it with a foam applicator, but to really remove swirls, you may be better with a piece of terry cloth or an Even Coat Applicator. The loops of cloth make it a little more agressive, and remove swirls easier.

The other option is to use a single-step cleaner like ScratchX to remove swirls.

If you can, Claying the car, followed by ColorX, topped with a wax like Nxt is an excellent combo.
