Help With Deciding Which Meguiars Regimen To Go With My New Suv
Originally posted by Mura2005 what are ultimate wipes bama??
The ultimate wipes are Meguiar's older version of a microfiber towel. I don't believe that they make those anymore because I believe that they have been replaced by the Supreme Shine microfiber towels.
I would use the water magnet before the chamois as Murr suggested. It's a good drying towel.
The Ultimate wipe is a different microfiber. I have not used one, but they certainly get good reviews. Some people remove product with the Supreme Shines, and then do a final wipe with the Ultimate Wipe.
I could never get chamois to work real well. I am sure the Meguiars ones are top quality, but the Water Magnet dries my car easy as anything. I just rinse the car to get off as muchwater as possible, then it takes maybe 2 towels to dry the exterior.
I havent had any scratches when drying with a Water Magnet. Or at least nothing noticable. Some people blot dry, instead of wiping, to minimize this even more.
The Water Magnet is only for drying.
The Super Plush Terry can be used to dry, or for removing products.
First, get 2 buckets, one for soap, one for rinse water. Hopefully you'll have at least one grit guard for the rinse bucket.
To wash, you will probably want either the Chenille wash mitt, or the Ultra Plush Wash mitt. The new body brush is also popular, though I have never used it. Might be nice for an SUV.
For drying, either a Chamois, Water Magnet, or Ultra Plus Terry. I'll stick with the Water Magnets.
All you need to wash is 2 buckets, hopefully one grit guard at least for the rinse bucket, and one of the 3 tools listed above. Some people even have 2 sponges/mitts, one for upper body, one for around the wheels, underbody. Then dry with what you choose.
see i saw this tool called the ultra plush wash mop . I figured i would use it because it has a handle on it. I have an SUV so I dont think the wash mitt would be for me, right??
