I would like to know what the term"diminishing abrasives" actually means.Does this mean that colorX has some grit in it? Is it safe to use frequently on my DD? I've read on this forum that the cleaner wax #6 is more aggressive. Does that mean is has more or bigger particles of grit in it as compared to colorX? Thanks

Diminishing abrasives mean that as the product breaks down, it leaves no noticable marke behing, unlike old fashioned compounds.
On my daily driver, this is my procedure:
1. Wash: High quality wash, like Nxt or Gold Class. With 2 bucket method.
2. Clay: Use Meguiars Quick Clay as needed.
3. Clean/polish/wax: ColorX.
4. Wax: Apply a second coat of Nxt tech wax for looks and even coverage.
ColorX has some diminishing abrasives, which means it is able to remove light swirls. However, it is up to you how you work the product.
Worked in with pressure and terry cloth is agressive.
Wiped on with a foam applicator is quite mild.
#6 is a bit more agressive, but also designed for use by machine. Abrasives menat for use by hand (ColorX) will be good by hand. Abrasives meant to break down by machine (#6), may not break down fully by hand, and you will miss the full use of the propduct.
So it is all up to you.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue
