  • Cord reel

I am looking for a cord reel for a 100' 12 amp extension cord. Te reason for asking is I am having trouble finding a reel which hold the 12 amp cord of the 100' plus length. I would prefer a reel constructed of metal, but will consider a plastic reel which is well constructed.

I'm a firefighter and we carry some large cord reels on the rigs. You can either check with your local department to see where they purchase from or you can look up a fire equipment supply store in you area. Another suggestion would be an electrical supply store, preferably one that caters to contrators. Good Luck

Thanks for the info. I will look up a electrical supply company, if I can not find one I will check with the FD.

          What gauge is it?

I have a 13 AMP? (I think) 14 guage/3 wire, 100ft. Romex drop cord that fits easily on my hand held plastic cord reel.

I posted the wrong info, the cord is 12 gauge and not 12 amp.

            RB,
            Thanks for catching my error.
