My buddy has a 70 Chevelle with a laquer paint job that needs some help. I just ordered a PC and when it gets here we want to bring out the shine in this car. Color is a Autumn Maple Metallic - 86 Cadillac color that is in poor shape. What do you guys recommend to make this race car shine??? We will be using the PC along with MG products you suggest.

Here's what i would do on car with a bc/cc system, pretty sure it would be ok on laquer paint but not 100%. Would be wise to see what others think.
1. Wash with NXT Car Wash
2. Clay with Meguiars quick clay system
3. #83 DACP on a Foam polishing pad
4. #82 Swirl Free Polish or # 9 on a foam polishing pad
5. 2 coats NXT
If you can't get your hands on the professional line you can try the deep crystal paint cleaner, then Deep crystal polish, then NXT

That's what I was thinking of trying if I didn't get any responses. That combo seems to be the one most everyone seems to like. Thanks for your reply and I will give that a try. My PC should be here today.................

Sorry, I'm not up to speed on laquer paint, but I would think that most of Meguiar's products would be OK to use.r. b.Comment
