  • ColorX on glass and plastics

Can ColorX be used on glass as a Rain-X type product? If yes, then how long will ColorX last in this application? May ColorX be used to protect plastic headlight and taillight lens?

Wouldnt hurt the windshield, but I would stick to more of a pure wax like #26 or even NXT. Just The nxt will smear a bit on glass. I use it all the time on the headlights of vehicles.

      I use RainX on glass.

I have both the Origional in the form of Swipe and Wipe (a self applicator), and I have the wipes.

I also have the windshield wax from RainX.

Overall these products are easy to apply. To be honest the RainX Wax is easier to apply, IMO and you can see it better.

However, sometimes the widnow looks like it has a layer of greese on it. For instance ifyou run your windshiled wipers, it can streak terribly (happened tonight)

It is a great product, but if it gets angry it will act up and become not so transparent.

You will then have to re-wipe the windshield and buff it off again.
