I am interested in the Meguiars Cordless Orbital Buffer G104. The web site does not post a picture. Any chance of seeing one before deciding to order? What diameter pads can the unit use? Thank you,

What do you want to do with it?
Apply a wax?
Remove swirls and scratches?

i have the simoniz version of this polisher and i can say it lacks power! only good for apying wax where you don't have power. the strange thing is that the simoniz verson comes with sanding pads and a wool pad .. these are pretty much useless to me and the simoniz version the pads fo on and off with velcro. but its good enough to apply wax. ( i dont recomend it for the paste waxes tho stick with liquidPatrick Yu

Maybe I can hang on a question regarding the cordless buffer instead of making a new thread:
I bought my buffer in germany. I received not only one papersheet etc like a manual ore quickstart guide - NOTHING! In germany we get a country specific poweradapter. Also there: No manual to explain how much power I should use to load the batteries. This question was answered by the wholesaler, but I still didnt receive any manual. So the most important question is: Is the red loading-LED on the charger turning GREEN when batteries are fully loaded or is this only a sign for loading? On the accupacks its written "read instruction manual" - really nice if you dont have one. Also its written "loading time 5hours" - but still after 5-6 hours the red LED is on. Also, I used the first accupack and was wondering if its turning slower and slower after ~ 10 minutes. reason was: Accupack was EMPTY! The 2nd pack did his job well.
To help here in the thread:
I bought this product only for applying wax and paint cleaner or polish, but my first experience was only great with wax. Reason: Its really uncomfortable to apply a polish or paintcleaner which has to be removed before drying with a buffer and remove the polish with another hand with a terry or microfiber... Regarding the wax its really great because you have time to use it on the whole car until you wipe everything off in one step. Maybe I need some more experience, but maybe I will use it only with wax in the future...
Here are 2 sample pics from the result with the buffer (and also with claying):

I'd say NO, buy the bigger (better) one! This is the only Meguiars product that has ever 'failed to please' - I sent it back and my kind supplier (Clean & Shiny) gave me a full refund.
The batteries seemed to last '10 minutes' and it just wasn't powerful enough to apply and buff off wax. (Mine's a new car with no tough paint restoration jobs required) All I wanted was to make waxing easier but this isn't the tool for the job as far as I'm concerned.
Hope my experience helps.Stewart

I tried today again the buffer and had the same bad result of the low batteries. I charged both of them 5-6 hours last night and yesterday, eone of the was empty until i completely polished the hood.... Thats stupid. The other battery was OK, but I stopped for today. If this experience is the same tomorrow, I will try to send it back also...
