  • Dilluting last Touch

I am finally alomst to the point where I have used up most of my Consumer Line Quick Detailers and wish to convert over to using Last Touch predominatly as a Quick Detailer.

I have been dilluting Last Touch 1:1 for a clay lube but was curious as to whether or not last Touch could be or "should be" dilluted when being used for Quick Detailer Purposes.

    Any THoughts?

I know some people do this and are happy with the results.

I actually diluted mine 4:1 and it still works great. I found it to smear at full strength but it now doesn't at my dilution.

4:1 huh? Hmm good to know. I doubt i'll take it down that far, at least not right away. I might pull some of my empty QD bottles that I threw away last night back out and make a small quantity of several dillutions and try each. It may actually prove to be a good experiment for me as I do alot of my work at night. It may come to pass that one dillution ratio night actually work better than another for working in the cool damp air. Then another may work better for me in the daylight. Could prove to be a worthwhile test.

When you dilute it 4:1 are you loosing some of the lubricating properties for removing light dust?

            That makes sense.

I've only diluted 1:1 with water for clay lube and light cleaning.

i seem to like the last touch better than the quick detailer. i usually use 2 Ult. Wipes, one to spread and one to buff dry, works great! plus the LT smells like coconut

I'll likely stick to using the Quick Detail Pads. I love the extra cushioning they provide.

I have not detailed using the last touch yet. I have use it for claying though @ 1:1. Worked just as promised. I"MAY" try using @ 1:1 for the wipedowns. Unsure as yet. My confidence in dilluting it much more than that is low from what I am seeing here from others. It's dust lubricating ability is very important to me. I guess I'll just have to try and see and find a happy medium between no streaks and no scratches.
