  • polish than wax

Iwas wondering if i have to remove any trace amounts of wax before i apply a polish than a wax . I have been using # 6 cleaner wax up till now and the paint is in pretty good shape ( it is not a clear coat ). I was thinking of using #7 show car glaze followed by gold class or #20 polymer sealant. I apply all my products by hand. Any help would be appreciated
    Thank you

You do not have to remove the wax before the polish, you just need a nice clean surface.... IMO you will get better results with a paint cleaner such as Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner then moving on to the polish-wax. Hope this helps! Good luck!

You don't have to remove wax before applying a polish. A pure polish tends to work better on an un-waxed finish, but you don't have to remove wax before applying a pure polish.
