The paint when new had no swirl marks, just fron neglect (whether be you, the previouse owner, or the dealership) has led the paint to its current state. Are you going to be tackling this by hand or with a machine. If you are going at it by hand use scratch X. Do a search on this forum and you will get many threads that will help!

Those are some nasty swirls there.

After washing/claying (remember to use a dedicated car shampoo for washing), you can do the following things:

For work by hand, use Meguiar's Scratch-X on a clean applicator pad. It will take alot of elbow grease and time, but will diminish (abraid) the swirls away.

Something that is more up my alley would to use a machine to get rid of the swirls. At the moment I have light swirls on my black car, and I am waiting to get the Meguiar's G100 dual action polisher. This Link will help you find out what you can use. I would suggest M83 followed up with M80 applied with a dual action polisher (such as the G100) to bring back your car's appearance.

The marks are not from the factory, they are from poor protection from shipping car and/or the dealership improperly handling and washing. The link doesnt work for me, but I would invest in a tube of Meguiars Scratch X, some quality micofiber cloths (like ulitmate wipes or supreme shine microfibers) and a hi tech applicator pad. Read the directions on the scratch X, be sure to work the product in one small area at a time, being sure to work it in, not just "wax on wax off" I would follow that with a polish then favorite wax. You may need to apply the scratch to each area 2,3 or even 4 times to remove all the swirls.

i bought the car brand new off the lot with 17 miles on it. like i said the paint like this. ok so here are my steps.

              1. let car cool down in shade
2.wash and rinse with rainX car wash and wax
              3. wash off with mr.clean spotless rinse
              4.dry with microfiber cloth
5.wax it with turtle wax, wax the kind that starts with a c dont know how to spell it
6.buff it off with turtle wax orbital buffer like 20 and home depot
7.clean wheel with black magic wheel cleaner
8.clean tires with black magic tire shine spray

i am willing to do it by hand if that is what it takes.

heres my stuff i know it is not a lot but i am only 17 and have to buy my own stuff. i have money to buy other products but i dont know which ones to get that is why i came here

                Hmm.

                Throw all that stuff away.

Use meguiars car washes, polishes, polishers (g100), waxes, applicators, and wheel supplies.

                Just kidding. Or am I?

I have no experience with the turtle wax buffer, but to me it sounds somewhat iffy, especially to those who are newbies to car appearance care. Did you have previous experience with a buffer before you used it on your own car? Or did you watch any usage videos / read tutorials on its use? If not, these swirls may have been instilled by yourself.

Was the car completely clean when you used the buffer? What speed did you use it at? Did you use a microfiber bonnet to remove the wax?

For me, I think I will always remove wax using my hand and a microfiber cloth.

                PS
Ditch the armorall and get the superior meguiars glass/leather/interior cleaners.

Until then I would refrain from using that buffer.

Some car care videos that REALLY helped me were these:

I have heard good and bad results regarding Mr clean system...i personal have not used it and never plan on using one because i have the dedicated tools and prefer washing the car with a delicate soap, three buckets, chenille wash mitt (mr clean i hear has may or may not have a harsh soap)by the way(mr clean) it may not remve everything(dirt/grime) your better off do more work cause it definatley will pay off end results...remember everything you use will determine your end results

                            mr clean auto/dry

                            mr clean

this is another option and may want to invest
Grit guard & Two Bucket Method

                            Tools

regarding about your orbital buffer imho they are only good for apply wax (on awell maintained clean paint only) they are not good for neglected paint or paint correction... i do have an orbital buffer but not simular like yours but i do not use it anymore if i still have it..i bought it when i start out wanting to clean my car and get the best results which i didnt so i did reasearch and this forum is part of my training in detailing and quest to get the ultimate shine and protection...if i were to suggest a machine a g100 is the ticket...but like you said your starting out you need all the other tools prior to this, once you have the basic and have the funds then by all means purchase this...have fun
