  • Most aggressive Soap

    Folks,
It is raining here today. Mostly just spitting. So I am stuck indoors here and thinking about going out and washing an old Chevy Geo that I have access to for Rotary Practice.

I might even clay it down today depending on whether or not the weather worsens.

Anyway. I have a bottle of every type of Meg's Car Wash Shampoos. Consumer Detailer and Pro-Line.

I was wondering if one of those might be a little more aggressive as opposed to the rest. This car has not been driven for a couple of years I guess. I doubt it has been washed or waxed either. SO It is heavily oxidized and has all sorts of neat stuff stuck to it.

I am almost thinking going the DAWN route might be good.

    Any Suggestions?

No reason to use Dawn... that is just a step backawards, drying out the paint more. Though if it has never been driven...I am not sure a full restore matters.

Nxt Wash seems to clean the best of the consumer washes. Not sure about the Pro ones. Though some of those are gentle it sounds like.

I'd probably rinse, wash with nxt, rinse, wash with nxt again, and then do a final rinse. That should do a pretty good job of removing the dirt that has accumulated over the past two years.

Fortunately it has been raining all day. I figure it might be a tad easier to reove this stuff now that it has been soaking.

I thought about pulling out a pressure washer but the paint has a few nicks in it I am afraid of enlarging.

Not a bad idea if you don't mind getting wet.

As for the rain, you must be experiencing the same system that's brought some local flooding to our area.

I have yet to try the new washes from the detailer line, but D22 from the old line was a strong wash. Hyper wash replaced D-22 so I would try hyper wash. You could try to pumps of hyper wash per 5 gallons of water.

I would say use the Professional line!!
It might be what you want or it may equal as the consumer line..
if you dont have any then im sure the consumer line will do fine just like some one mentioned rinse, wash, dry and repeat cycle
