At this time, Meguiar's doesn't offer buffing pads in the 4" size. There are other company's the do offer smaller sizes, these are usually marketed as Spot Repair pads.

Some of us are hoping that Meguiar's considers the 4" pads. The allow the PC to work much more aggressively which can be great for correcting paint with it. Rather than bogging down or just "jiggling" when you apply pressure, the 4" pads maintain the dual action motion and they can really cut.
While they can be handy for working tight areas, my primary use for them is marring removal. You can do a lot with 4" pads that you *cannot* do with larger ones.
While on the Pad subject, do you have to use the 8" pads with a rotary, or can you use the 6.5", or does it just depend on the size of the backing plate?
Thanks
Yes, you can use 6.5" pads with a rotary. Many detailers prefer them over the 8", especially for smaller and/or curvier cars. Just use the W64 5" Backing Plate.
You can use the 4" pads with a rotary too, they work great in tight spaces, but until Meguiar's starts making them you'll have to use somebody else's pads and backing plates.

Yeah, though it isn't all that much of an issue with soft finishing pads and nonabrasive products. But when using aggressive 4" pads and abrasive products you actually have to watch that you don't get *too* aggressive, which usually isn't much of an issue with the PC/G-100.
