  • Meguiars NXT Polymer Sealant Versus NXT Tech Wax 2.0

    Hello,
I am trying to get my hands on some Meguiars NXT Polymer Sealant as it seems quite superior from viewing some YouTube videos. However, I cannot locate any anywhere. Is it discontinued and how does NXT Tech Wax 2.0 compare to it?

    Thanks,
    Ralph

I could be wrong, but I think both are discontinued . The Ultimate liquid wax is awesome. Maybe give it a try. I personally love ULW . If you really want NXT , maybe try M21 2.0 professional sealant. I think it’s the pro version of NXT.

Hi Ralph, Meguiar's M20 Professional Polymer Sealant is no longer being produced. If you would like, feel free to share what you are working on and/or if there was something in particular about this product which you liked, or heard about, as you mentioned, on YouTube, and we can help guide you towards a replacement. Technically our M21 Synthetic Sealant 2.0 is the replacement, which you can find more information about at the below link. That said, if there is something in particular as I mentioned that you like, or heard about M20, let us know and we can discuss.

Hello and thanks for all of the replies!

I'm a former professional Detailer, btw. It's been 16 years since I retired from the business though but I still try to keep up given I maintain our personal vehicles. Anyhow, I've used Meguiars products for decades and continue to use your compounds and polishes. I however preferred to use Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant or Menzerna Power Lock as my LSP. I typically use Wolfgang Sio2 Silica as my topper. This has been my routine for a while now.

Anyhow, I came across a Youtube Video of a direct comparison of Wolfgang Sealant, Menzerna Power Lock, and Meguiars NXT Polymer Sealant and the NXT outperformed those in both luster and slickness. The comparison can be seen HERE and it's impressive. I'm mostly desiring to get the best possible look out of a finish whereas longevity is a lesser consideration at this time.

So, what would be the replacement for the NXT Polymer Sealant? Otherwise, what does Meguiars offer that is superior in finish and slickness and can an Si02 spray be applied over it? Can you also say whether the M210 polish is superior in some fashion to the M205? I've been using M205, M03 and/or M02 for a yearly minor paint correction. But I'd consider switching to M210 if it is less abrasive and/or offers even better results.

        Thanks,
        Ralph
