  • Haze and micromarring?

    Hi!
I was hoping to get some advice as I have not done any of real paint correction before.
We recently had our motorhome painted on a few sections. Generally, they did a good job for the price. However, I did not notice until we got out of the bright Arizona sun, they had two areas on the pillars on either side of the windshield where I think they blended the old and new paint and perhaps clearcoat. It looks like haze and light vertical scratches. It is all smooth. I am hoping it is something that can be polished out with a light polish and is not under the clearcoat. What do you folks think? Would you suggest any particular products for this?
    Thanks!

The images are good. Yet seeing in person can provide more information.
In your close up image, the scratches appear to be randomly varied. In a blended area, prep is still important. I would have expected any sanding marks to be much more parallel than what is seen in that image. Hopefully these are not sanding remnants under the clear coat. Hopefully they are not damage prior to the respray that are now under a clear overlay.

Each paint responds differently. I would recommend starting with test spots using a least aggressive approach and moving to more aggressive until your goals are reached.
For least aggressive, and to see if it was in the top clear coat, my thoughts include starting with Meguiar's Ultimate Polish or Meguair's M210 polish and check to see if it started clearing up the haze.

Thanks! That is what is worrying me. There were no scratches there at all before they painted. The other side is less obvious scratches and just hazy. There is also some very light haze on the front where they painted How long should I wait to try?
I was shocked when I picked it up and they said they had "waxed" it already. This was in Mexico, so I am not sure if they waxed or ceramic coated it or what. I always thought you needed to wait months.

The question of how long to wait is a good question.
It would be best answered by:
        1) The painter
        2) The manufacturer of the paint.
