Seems impossible to get these out...?

Hi everyone,

First time poster but long, long time Mequires user. My favourites are Ultimate Compound and Fine Cut Cleaner as these have done wonders for me over the years. I am struggling getting some fine scratches out of my 2016 Q5 at the moment. Under my garage lights I can see some fine scratches and I cannot for the life of me get them out using fine cut cleaner or the ultimate compound. I work everything by hand and am seeking some help here. I have even tried some wax to see if that fills them in but nope.... Please have a look at the photo and tell me what you think. Much appreciated.

If your doing everything by hand you could give ScratchX a try as well.
Best way would be to use a machine.
If the scratches are deep enough paint is missing, you could try Dr. Colorchip.

Thanks, the scratches are so light you cannot even feel them. Just wondering how I can get this out by hand.

Try using ScratchX. It does have ability to take out light scratches by hand.

Always remember that removing scratches by abrasion permanently removes paint. From there decide if they're worth going after.

If so, try Ultimate Compound with a microfiber application if not already. You'll want to thoroughly work the compound over the surface, and it may take repeated applications.

M02 was what I'd use to remove defects back when I was using a rotary buffer and wool pad. The Ultimate Compound is what I switched to when I started using a Porter Cable 7424xp. I find the Ultimate Compound to have better cut and finish.

Thank you. It’s my understanding that UC does not remove any material especially by hand. That’s been my go to. It’s not working for these fine scratches and I have to decide how far I want to go with something I don’t really see in the normal light.
