I recently completed the three step process to remove oxidation from my boat hull. I used Meguiar's Heavy-Duty Oxidation Remover, Meguiar's Polish, and finally M-5616 Boat/RV Pure Wax. While putting a second coat of the Pure Wax on, I ran out. My dealer only has the Marine Flagship Premium Wax. If I use this, will it remove the first coat of Pure Wax? Will it be enough protection for the surface that I put a lot of time into? When should a person use the Pure Wax versus the Flagship Premium Wax and vice versa?

The simple answer is that the Flagship has a light cleaner in it and if you apply it over the M56 you will in effect more than likely remove any of the M56 wax from the finish.

Thanks for the input. Given that I already have half the boat completed with a second coat of the Boat/RV Pure Wax, I think I will wait until I find some at another dealer and complete the job in that same product. The Flagship product that I already purchased sounds like it will be a better choice for mid-season next year. The boat will, unfortunately, be in covered storage until Spring. After it is back out for Spring, the Flagship sounds like a good choice to maintain the finish I have now.
