  • Thining Hyper Dressing, What Ratio????

I bought a quart spray bottle, used it straight on the tires. It was a bit diffuclt wiping on the tires (with all those ridges) but once it dried somewhat, it looked pretty good. I really liked the sheen! What would be a good ratio for the tires and under the hood? How do I mix it to a certin ratio, ie 3:1? Do I pour out some of the dressing to the 3:1 line and then fill with water? Will thinning the product out affect the sheen?

    Thanks,

    RonW.

Unless things have changed, the HD should have come with a pump. Thinning the product does produce less sheen. The best thing to do it to experiment different ratios until you find the one you like.

Good ratio for tires is 2:1 or 3:1 (less shinny)

Inside 3:1 or 4:1 (try 4:1 first to start with less shine)

      Under the hood 4:1

3:1 means 1 part of HD and 3 parts of water. You can figure it out from here. The 1 Gal container will make 5 galons at 4:1. That is a lot of dressing, IMO!

Yes, different ratios affect the sheen and shine. 2:1 has a very good sheen, 4:1 has a more natural look, and 3:1 is well in between.
