Just curious about the average time it takes to do not only the 5 steps, but also clean and detail interior. I'm just wondering because today I spent about 5 hours start to finish by hand. (Still waiting for the PC special...)
I can do a full-detail, start to finish, on a vehicle in very good shape in 3-5 hours.
Now, if the interior is thrashed and the paint needs clay, wet sanding, compounding, polishing, etc then you might as well put me in the 9+ hour range.
Mind you, this won't have to be done each and every time that you do the vehicle and, most likely, if you take great care of it from here on out, probably not for a long while.

I guess I take after my father...He was rather slow compared to most people.
But most of the cars I do are fairly neglected to begin with...If I was skilled with a rotary, then I wouldn't have to go over the same areas multiple times with cleaners before moving on to a polish or wax.

Add clay or anyother special stuff and it takes me longer. I always keep my truck very clean inside and out. When I got it from the dealer and cleaned it the way they should have/remove the fine scratches and other dealer installed problems it took a solid 8 hours
