Yes, it's true. ColorX has all 3 properties in one bottle.

It's a stronger cleaner than DC#1, but I can't comment on whether it polishes better than DC#2.....I mean, I just don't know.

As far as wax protection goes, I heard that it has a tough polymer ingredient in it.

Do a search for ColorX & Mike Phillips and I'm sure it will tell you more.

Thanks for that thread, so for application its just like DC#1 and DC#2 you work it in the paint then remove right after? no need to dry?

It needs to dry in order for the product to protect the paint, but you can wipe it off while it's still wet if you want to continue working it into the paint.

What I mean is, if one application of ColorX is not removing enough oxidation, scratches, etc., then go ahead and remove it while wet and reapply it.....But the final application needs to dry enough in order to pass the swipe test, and to ensure that the polymers have had time to set up......Just like a wax.

Thanks R.B. ! ! So simple of an idea and yet, I never thought of it. If I didn't read this tip, I would of let it dry and then re-apply again. Just makes better sense now.

What about applying ColorX with a DA. Yes or No?

Setting and pad to be used since it is a little of everything.

                  Extra note here.

In my experiences with ColorX, this product dries rapidly if applied by hand....But when I applied it with the G-100/W-8006 combo on the 5 setting, I noticed that it took much longer to dry.

                  Strange ain't it.

So would I apply this product like a regular wax, for example in thin even coats?

If you're going to let it dry before removing it, then yes, I would apply it thin.

I only use enough to keep the pad lubed anyway.

Applying it thin like wax will still polish and clean the paint as good as rubbing it in?

Yes, but it depends on what kind of condition the paint is in too. If the paint is neglected, then it might take extra applications to clean and polish the paint.....Thin applications or not.

ColorX can also be worked into the paint more, so that the diminishing abasives can break down to remove swirls, etc/
