  • tire shine in wheel wells

i have undercoating in my wheel wells and wondering if spraying tire shine on them would hurt it? i tried using the exterior trim detailer spray but it doesn't turn them black like the insane shine does.

    thanks for any info

I dont see how it would cause any damage. I personally use Hyper Dressing.

I have actually used WD-40 in my tire wells before and it keeps them a nice black for a long time. Just be careful not to get the overspray on your paint or it will give a nice greasey smudge look...LOL Also do it somewhere that you don't care about the floor because it makes a bunch of grim run off and onto the garage floor.

After thoroughly cleaning the wheel wells I also dress themwith hyper dressing.

buy some degreaser from the detailer line and get some hyper dressing They sell sampler bottles of the detailer line at this site (well for some reason I'm impaired on inserting links so) go to www.autodetailingsolutions.com and click on Meguiar's D-line, think they're in 32oz bottles. Or you can get the gallons, eventually I'm going to just get a gallon of hyper dressing and super or safe degreaser, cuz I want to detail my engine compartment someday, need to learn first tho....
            sorry about getting off topic.

today i washed in my wheel wells with simple green and it left streaks everywhere i sprayed it. i went over them with some meguiars nxt insane shine but you can still see them slightly. is there a way to remove the stains? or should i just use this as my excuse to remove them and paint them red to match my truck?

I use #40 because thats what I use on the tires/ trim. I think I am going to switch to Hyper dressing for the wheel wells.
