... I do own a G-100a and have a car with medium swirl marks... Will it be worth the money for me to buy the #7006 cutting pad at $11 or should I stick with my #8006 pad for removing SM??? Is it ok to go above the Speed 5.0 setting to remove Medium SM's if I have to?

Meguiar's does not recommend using the W-7006 Foam Cutting Pad with the G100 as the foam formula is too aggressive and while it will remove the defects faster than the W-8006 Foam Polishing Pad, it will sometimes leave the finish looking dull and hazy.

to throw a wrench into the mix, could I use #84 Power Cleaner with the G-100a? I am trying to stretch the limit of the G-100a as much as possible without having to purchase another buffer.

Also, will putting the speed setting higher than 5.0 .. help with medium SM's ? the paint isnt as hard as the Ford F-150 but its not the greatest either

Since Mike answered your first ?? i will help help/give my opinion on the next ??....its my understanding you can use #80 or #83

for a DA(g-100), #84 is for a rotary use only so the answer is no....Meguiars does not reccomend using no higher then 5.0 so no you should never go that high...will people go that high im

sure they will, will they have problems some will some wont its 50/50 gamble i wouldnt take that gamble on the price of a pad...
so i would start by buying the 3 pads set plus the one that came

with it(g100) then also the(buy) #80,#83.....and start with the 80 and try that if that doesnt work go to the next step 83 if that still doesnt work then your next step is a rotary...remeber make sure

you break down 80,83 cause they have diminshing abrasive if you dont you wont do anything to the paint...also note when using 80,83 note if there is any change if there is then you may

have to make two or three passes (repeating step) and see if that helps....hope that helps please remember these are my opinion and its up to you should you choose to use my method(no liabilty)....

Maybe the new formulation of #2 Fine Cut would be something to consider. Assuming proper breakdown of abrasives/etc., I'm a fan of more aggressive products as opposed to more aggressive pads, at least with the G100.
