  • Nxt Tire Cleaner and Insane Shine

I picked up one of each of these.

Just thought I would share that I was impressed with how well things came out.

I used the Eagle1 Tire Wipe. They are about $1 to $2 each and work very well with.

I sprayed the tires with water, then I sprayed them with the Nxt Tire cleaner. Waited a few seconds then scrubbed like a mad man with the Eagle1 Foam Brush.

    Finally I rinsed them clean.

Did all the wheels then went around and dried them.

Next, I sprayed them with Insane Shine. They are cleaner than new. Just the Tire Cleaner itself makes them look near new.

I was impressed. The Nxt Insane Shine left a stain in my driveway though. I sprayed that with the Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner and the Insane shine rinsed off my driveway.

I just thought I would let everyone know if they want to be shocked and amazed they should buy both a can fo the Nxt Tire Cleaner and Insane Shine.

Get both of them and you will get brilliant results. Also get the Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner because it is strong and safe. With those three things you should be able to really do wheels and tires well.

Oh, you will need a tire and wheel brush to to do everything right. You can be like me though an use the $1 or $2 Eagle1 Tire Swipe Foam, and then a toohbursh for cleaning the wheels. I actually had an old Crest Battery brush. Need I say more than it works wonders on wheels with hot rims cleaner.

I love the NXT Tire Cleaner. I don't even put dressing on my tires anymore because the dark black look I get IMO looks better. Either way, the stuff is awesome

      Hey Jbirk

Thanks for posting your comments! I too really like the NXT Insane Shine. I have found that after applying it, I leave it for 10 or so minutes. Then I come back and wipe the tire with a dedicated MF towel. The resultant sheen is excellent with a nice even appearance!!!

I usualy do tire dressings after waxing the car, so there is at leas ta barrier between paint and dressing. That way I can just wipe it off right away nice and easy.

If you get any tire cleaner on your paint or rims, you rinse it off with water.

Is it harmful to paint or rims? I DO NOT know, but I doubt it.

I am certain I got some on my rims and it rinsed off.

As for the Insane Shine, you probalby want to avoid the rims because it is a polymer and won't remove easily. Your best bet would be to wipe it off the rims or use All Purpose Tire Cleaner.

If you get Insane Shine on your paint, you should easily be able to get it off with DC 1.

Overall, just try to keep the stuff away from paint. If contact occurs, do your best to clean it up. No permanent harm will likely be done

I love the InsaneShine, but I don't apply it by spraying on the tires.

I use the Eagle One Tire Swipes (I think they are Eagle One anyway). I spray the IS directly on the applicator and swipe it on. My tires are not low profile tires but are not the normal size either.

I spray it on the applicator and go over each tire. Then I work my way around the vehicle and use the same applicator to wipe the tires again but I don't apply IS to the Applicator on this go-around. I find by doing this the applicator drinks up any access avoiding sling.

I get alot of compliments on the tires by doing it this way. I am unsure if I am getting the same effect as those who apply directly, but I am happy with the results.

I saw a thread sometime back, I believe from Mike, stating something to the effect that Meg's would like to come up with IS in a Pump or Spray type contaniner but was unable to at this time for reasons I don't remeber.

Personally, I don't spray anything on or at my truck but water when I am washing. I do enough wiping without having to sweat wiping off overspray from any product.

Well I have low profile tires and I know for sure i'll probably get overspray. I havent use these products yet, but I've seen great results. I don't think im going to be using them the overspray will just add to much work.

Yes, hence the reason I use the tire Swipes. Stand back about 10'. Apply product to the swipe then apply to tire. Works well for me and I get numerous compliments.

Just wipe the wheels off with a rag and some QD.

I don't spray tires. I wipe the product on with a terry towel, foam, or a terry applicator let sit then wipe off the excess.

No but I bought a bottle the other day and am gonna use it on my mothers car. I am going to continue to use the Insane Shine on mine. Hopefully I can compare the 2 and decide if there is one I like better then hopefully post my thoughts about them. I am sure they will both have their own outstanding features.

I love the Insane Shine, but I wasn't impressed with the wheeler cleaner, but each time I used I didn't scrub I just sprayed it on let sit for a sec then showered it off. I have that same problem with Insane leaving marks all over the drive way. It looks likes a spray painted the driveway gloss. I'll have to try the Hot Wheels to try and remove it.
