  • Why No Gallon QD

Since I"m careful washing and detailing I seldom scratch my finnish so don't need much # 80 but I buy it buy the gallon because of better price.
I use the Instant detailer in the red bottle and use it daily on one or anorther of my cars so I use a lot of it but can only find it in the small bottles. This don't make sense to me why can't I buy this by the gallon.

They make the Quik Detailer in 32oz sizes as well as the smaller 16oz. I think the Speed Detailer is 24oz. You can always buy Final Inspection in gallon size. I just ordered some Final Inspection (among other things) from my local Auto Paint supplier (Thanks Mike on the tips for finding a PBE store!). The only thing I'm unsure of is how it compares to QD or SD

The problem with offering Quik Detailer in a gallon size container is getting retail shelf placement to make it available to the Consumer/Enthusiasts market.

I have tried #34 but at car shows it seems to be harder to remove when surface is hot. The QD in the red bottle is easier to remove and I can't see any difference between them in shine.
I buy the 32oz. bottles 4 to 6 at a time. I use a lot of this stuff.
I rarely wash my car just use the QD every time that I drive it and wax after every 5 or 6 times of using the QD.
I guess you could say that I'm anal about keeping it clean.

I’ve never noticed any obvious functional difference between #34 and Quik Detailer. Maybe the effect you’re seeing is caused more by the spray pattern of the #34 bottles? The Quik Detailer sprayers put out a finer mist. Have you tried loading #34 into the Quik Detailer sprayer?

Agreed. I wish there was a way to put the sprayer/nozzle from one of the maroon bottles onto a "regular" 32-oz. spray bottle.

I'm a FI by the gallon user and that suits me just fine. I do wonder though about this: as with many other products and brands across many categories, in "wholesale clubs" such as Costco and Sam's Club, would Meguiar's consider a gallon or half gallon or one of those 48 oz. sizes plus a free 16 oz spray bottle deal much like Armor All has? A wholesale club "exclusive" might be the way for those interested in Quik Detailer to get more of it in one shot.

Thanks I will try that. I have several empty maroon bottles I will pour my # 34 in one of them and try it. Problem is weather is cooling and may not be a good test.

                  Hey,

I have used gallons of #34 Final Inspection and love the stuff! However, I do use it with an old Quik Detailer spray head. I have used it in quite cold temperatures without any problems what-so-ever.
