  • Wheel Storage

For the coming winter, I will install winter tires on stock wheels.

For my summer wheels/tires, I plan to wash them thoroughly and store them in plastic bags.

My question is should I apply NXT wax to the wheels before storage?

    Won't hurt!

To be on the safe side, I would wash them, dry them thoroughly, apply 2 coats of NXT (a few hours apart), and let them sit for a day or so before you put them in the bags and store them.

Yeah, I'd go ahead and do it. I like to have my out-of-season wheels/tires all prepped and ready to go back on. I'd even treat the tires, even though you'll need to do it again come spring before mounting them.
