Help! need info

Ok today I bought a 6" orbital waxer/polisher by coleman it goes 4000 rpm. Its my frist time using something like this. i have a buffing bonnet and a polishing bonnet I was just going to use NXT wax and the polshing bonnet. what is the use for a buffing bonnet. I have a old ford to practice on. what should I use and do.

I think one bonnet would be for applying the wax and the other bonnet could be used to remove the wax after the wax has dried.
