Originally posted by Streetcop I purchased a few pads for detailing my car and I was wondering what the difference between the 8006 pad and the 9006 pad is?
Thanks
The difference is in the density and texture of the foam. The W-8006 foam polishing pad is considered the workhorse of the paint polishing industry because it's proven, popular and versatile. Typically you would use this pad with paint cleaners, cleaner/polishes, pure polishes, cleaner/waxes, even polish/waxes.
The W-9006 is a finishing pad and is very soft in density and texture, it is typically used for applying LSP's such as Gold Class Wax, NXT Tech Wax, M26 Hi Tech Yellow Wax, etc.
Take them out of their bags and feel them, and also push down on them and feel the difference in cushion.
