I was interested on durability on these three products NXT wax, #20, #21. I understand that they are all synthetic and was wondering which one would last the longest and how long? I understand that a pure carnuba breaks down within 30 days and between 60-90 days it is nearly all gone. Looking for something to protect my car during the winter conditions.

NXT vs #20 vs #21

My experience is that I get the most satisfaction from the way #21 holds its appearance and protection without the use of the spray booster. If you don't mind (or enjoy) using the booster then you will get better appearance and protection from NXT.
#20 is kinda lost in the mix. It's a good product that has its dedicated users, but if you had NXT and #21 on the shelf would you reach for it...?
Me neither. It's like bringing a wooden bat to a college baseball game.

6. Are polymer sealants better than traditional carnauba waxes?

Just to make things clear, NXT Tech Wax is a stand alone product.
You don't have to use the Spray Wax with it, as in it's not a two component system. The term/word Booster is only meant to mean revitalize the appearance while adding a little bit of protection, in-between normal applications of a dedicated wax.
The idea was to avoid having someone purchase just the spray wax and using it on a neglected finish. This happened with our Quik Wax by a person on Autopia then they went on to post they were not satisfied with the product when further inquiry to what they were working on revealed their car was a daily driver that had not seen any attention in a couple of years. It needed to be washed, clayed and cleaned at a minimum before applying any wax, let a lone a spray-on wax.
After this incident, I coined the term [bbooster[/b] for the label copy on the NXT Spray Wax to try to avoid confusion. Now I find people trying to turn the meaning of the word booster to mean a product that is part of a two part system and while they can be used together, they don't have to be used together and you could just as easily spray our Quik Wax onto a finish with Tech Wax.
Note the use of the term booster and how it's defined in the below thread on May 28 2003, 12:05 PM on the old AOPP forum,
New Meguiar's Product To Try!
Hope this clarifies things...

That is exactly how I've thought of the NXT Wax. I've even written about it in other forums (and maybe this one), usually writing "[I see][Think of] NXT and the Spray Wax as a two part system."
Although Meguiar's might not have conceived of the products as a two part system, I've found that using them as one is the best way to achieve maximum results. The only downside is that frequently touching the paint can lead to faster swirl buildup, so you need to be scrupulous about the cleanliness of your applicators.
I apologize for spreading that misinformation, it wasn't intentional. In a strange twist of "Mike just can't win no matter what", i took the fact that you've never called me on it as tacit acceptance of it!

I think of it as a system with some parts being optional.
BTW, the Booster Wax and the Speed Detailer work very well with the #21 too! That's why I stay with Meguiar's, everything is compatible with everything.
