  • My New Obsession!

    Hi!

I'm a newbie car detailing and I have to say it's one of the best things in life that I've discovered!

I own a Black Honda Fit and it use to have some bad swirls on it. Due to me sending it to the neighbourhood car wash!

So, in came Meguiar's ColorX, ScratchX, Deep Crystal Polish, Cleaner Wax & NXT Tech Wax.

After using them, my car condition now has dramatically improved!

I love the Cleaner Wax & NXT Wax in particular. Really makes my car stand out compared to other black cars whenever I park next to them...totally wonderful!
    Couple of questions though...

    1. Can I use the Cleaner Wax on its own without layering it with NXT Wax? Cos some people has told me that I must do so.

    2. Can I use the CLeaner Wax every 2 weeks?

The only thing I have not done is Claying and would also need to re-apply ScratchX a few more times to further rid the swirls.

    Thanks Meguiar's!

Yes, you can use our cleaner/wax by itself with no problems.

    2. Can I use the Cleaner Wax every 2 weeks?
Yes, our cleaner/waxes are safe enough to use often and in fact work great for daily drivers as maintenance waxes

The only thing I have not done is Claying and would also need to re-apply ScratchX a few more times to further rid the swirls.

    Thanks Meguiar's!
Sounds like you're on the right track! When you get a chance post a picture of your car.

Mike, thanks for your reply! And all your posts which have really helped me.

I will get my digicam out this weekend, snap some pics and load it up next week.

Zey, I think we have a common friend by the name of janice. Both me & Janice are from the Jazz/Fit Club.

        Sorry Mike, one more question...
I've tried using the Quik Wax as per your "How to" thread but I find it very tough to remove it once the wax has hazed. Especially when I use it on a wet surface. Am I doing something wrong here? I also adhere to your advise on using "thin, light coat"

Makes me think that your daughter is better at this than me!

        Cheers!

          Hi Terence K

Apply the Quik Wax per Mike's instructions to a dry surface. Also make sure to apply it very thin. This will make removal much easier!

Looks good. I always look at the cars when I park and drive around and happy in the knowledge mine is cleaner and better looking. Now to go and buy a black car.......

Try only applying the spray wax to a dry car and see how this goes... Also, the car should already be in great shape with a coat of wax on it, our spray waxes are not for neglected finishes.

                  Hope this helps...
