  • Amount of Product to Apply?

Just recieved my new PC and need some advice on the amount of product I should apply to my pads. I feel that I am using way to much product thus rusulting in waste of product and possibly diminishing the results and It is taking forever. I have almost the complete range of prof. products including #84,#1,#83,#82,#7,#26, and just purchased NXT but have not used. I also have purchase all three foam pad types for the PC. I have a black QX4 that is no fun to detail. Basically my question is How much shoud we expect to apply to the pads? How much if any should be applied between sections? How long (avg) should it take to work the amounts into the sections? I don't expect a break down for every product but possibly somthing more specifice than what I have found with a search. Thank you,

I would check out the clinic on the Meguiars website. It helped me out when I first got mine. And so did all the advice. I personally put a 5 to 6 inch line on the section and smear it around the area im working on a little bit.

        Hilltopper,

As a first time user of the DA, I would highly recommend surfing over to Barry Meguiar's Car Care Clinics and watching the Power Polishing Clinic.

There are other Clinics there as well that highlight topics such as Preventing Swirls, Automotive Appearance, and Color Sanding. All are excellent instructional tools that Meguiar's makes publically available for enthusiasts like yourself. Feel free to ask any additional questions that you may have or develop after viewing as we're here to try to help!

Also, very OT but, if I may ask, where does "Hilltopper" come from? Western Kentucky University?
