  • how to detail a Turbo'd engine bay?

a friend of mine is having his car featured in a rolling shoot out for a UK magazine and after finding out his cleaning routine i had to offer to help.

i've cleaned my engine loads of times but as his is Turbo charged i wasnt sure if there are any extra precautions i have to take with the Turbo and intercooler?

The intercoolers have fins that can be damaged by a pressure washer so use a soft brush to get the bugs off, the turbo is sealed unit, nothing to worry about there. When you're done and all is try, spritz on some Meg's HyperDressing, makes the engine compartment sparkle.

If the compressor housing is visible, rub on a little Megs wheel cleaner with a rag. Let it sit for a few and rinse lightly. Should make it look like new.
