I was in Wal-Mart a few months back and noticed they carried Meguiar's foam applicators in two packs. They did not have the fancy packaging that the High-tech foam pads come; they were in a simple plastic bag. Are these the same same pads as the high tech pads? I figured maybe Wal-Mart contracted with Meguiar's to offer a lower cost option ($2.00 for two). I know BJ's had a similar thing going on with Quik Detailer

I saw the same thing when I was in Walmart looking for Nxt Glass Cleaner.
They didn't have the Glass Cleaner but had 2 packs of the Foam pads for $1.79 or something like that. Yes, they are the same Hi-Tech pads in simpler packaging.
I did not find the Glass Cleaner at Walmart, but eventually found it at Target. While at Walmart I picked up some Rain-X anti-fog (Never tried it but read negative reviews about it), and Rain-X Windshield Treatment good reviews. -
Oh, one more thing you will see Meguiar's on the foam pad. It is sort of sunk into the Hi Tech Applicator.
