I recently bought a 1978 ThunderBird in almost mint condition from a Antiques Dealer. Keeping it looking sharp has become an addiction to me. Something i found odd however is the dealer waxed it but didnt put any sort of protectant on the dash or other hard plastics in the interior or the vinyl (spelling) top. Ive been useing Meguiars Vinyl and Rubber Conditioner/Cleaner on the top and Turtle Wax Super Hard Shell Interior Protectant (its what i had.. sorry). Do you think there was a reason he wasnt using anything. It seems like the affects have been very positive. The colors are now very vibrant and shiny. Just afraidn that since its old there might have been a reason.
