  • #16 One month later

I put a coupl eof coats of #16 Professional Paste Wax on my truck about a month ago. Since then I have done basically nothing to it. I got out of work early yesterday and it was warm out so Idecided to wash it.

Two bucket method, Gold class wash. I did nothing else to it but the #16 is holding up great and still looks awesome.

here are some pictures I just took

I have never used #16 sure looks like a good product and it seems people talk about it. Sure looks good after a month.

Your pictures look absolutely awesome! The depth, clarity, and reflectivity is wonderful!!

Did your Ford come with 'no charge' orange peel? (it's not a line item on the invoice either!) Mine certainly did!

It seems to be standard equipment on the majority of the Ford finishes that I see. Tis ashame...

I know RP.....Just about every Ford truck or SUV I see has orange peel to some extent. Hey GB, How is the paint on your Lightning? I wonder if they do a better job of painting those?

I've just learned to live with it for even though it's there I still know my truck look pretty good anyway.

Unfortunately, it seems to be a pretty big beast out there in the automotive finish industry!

For example, I helped out with a 'quick' detail over a SAAB today while visiting Meguiar's for training and the peel was fairly extensive.

I too have the "no charge" orange peel, same as a non-SVT vehicle, but... I am learning to live with it.

My Lincoln LS has it too! A bit disappointing in a $40K car. However, one session behind the wheel makes me forget all about it!

Lol, I have not even a let a single coat last a month. Anyway, does anyone know which speed setting I should use on the PC when applying #16?

3 Seems to be a good speed for all other last step products. I usually apply it by hand

I'm just curious, what is the 2 bucket method?
                            I've always used just one?

The 2 bucket method is nothing more than an extra bucket with plain water in it, to rinse out your fuzzy wash mitt before you apply more soapy water to the car.

It helps to keep your soapy water cleaner, and thereby reducing the chance that you will scratch your car's finish.

I have seen the time when I would have to empty my rinse bucket & refill it, because the rinse water had so much dirt in it!
