  • Help!!! Dent/scratch!!!

My room mate and I had to make a trip to best buy a few minutes ago for a computer science homework assignment.

When he opened the passenger side of my car, he swung it right into the mirror of another car (a really sharp, old mirror of some kind of beat up oldsmobile or something)! Now there is a vertical dent/scratch about the height of a nickel.

(I'll post pics tomarrow when there is light)

How much do you think it will cost in a "quality" body shop to repair this?

Sorry to hear about the dent.

Depending on the dent itself, you may be better off going to a paintless dent repair (PDR) and see if the dent can be massaged out. I have seen some amazing things accomplished by these PDR's! But if the paint has a crease, that may require a body shop.

Please post some pics so we can have a better idea of what the dent looks like.

Classes are out. Pics are up.

Two different scratches. I dont know if he's responsible for the second one (in the second picture), but it wasnt there before he dented it.

            Hey,

The dent in the first picture is pretty sharp. However, I would still try and see if a PDR can take it out for you. Same thing for the second scratch.

If the PDR's can not do it, it may need to go to the body shop.

Yeah, first one looks like it'll need some paint work.

Second one isnt so bad, but will need to have the dent popped out. I'm sure lots of scratch X might be able to fix it after its popped out.
