Hi I am new to the site and trying to clean up a well weathered 1988 nissan which cleaner is more aggressive deep crystal #1 body scrub or #2 fine cut cleaner I tried body scrub and deep crystal#1 on the car but I need something more agressive. The cleaning will be done by hand. Thanks in advance for your help

Is this a clear coated finish?
Are you seeing pigment transfer to your applicator?
Are you applying using a foam applicator?
Only the most recent formula of #2 Fine Cut Cleaner can be used by hand, otherwise it must be applied using a rotary buffer. Read the back label to see what it says.
If you're using a foam applicator pad, try switching over to a piece of 100% cotton terry cloth towel for applying your paint cleaner, the nap will give your product a little more bite like this,

Of the two Consumer paint cleaners, the Body Scrub is more aggressive than the Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner, be sure to shake it well before using.
Try applying it again to a small section, work it in well with a little passion using the terry cloth and the wipe off and post back here if you're getting better results. If not we'll modify your process.

We used Scratch-X on my son's car. Worked out well and it was all done by hand.
Well the car my son drives was looking pretty sad. Fortunately I found this site! Showed him some of the cars here and he said it wanted that mirror look too. He is 16 and this is his first attempt at detailing. I think he did a really good job, but he was tired at the end as all of this was by hand. The claying took the

Thanks for your help so far it is a nissan pulsar. Red in color and the paint is not clear coated I am getting some color transfer to the applicator pad. the body scrub seems to be not strong enough to get out all of the oxidation and defects from the paint. I think tomarrow I will get some #2 and try it.I will post some pictures if it stops raining here tomarrow.
