  • Think I have BAD news.

Hello, got a good look at hood in sun. When I run my hand over it it seems the spots are below the CC. Ran two passes of 83, seems to have no effect. Tooks some pics will try to upload sometime. Almost silver in color the paint spots.

Well it was a road warrior and saw a lot of direct sun before I got into taking real good care of it. Will keep trying.
    Thanks for all your help!!!

Whoa...with a rotary that is way too fast for either SS or BC/CC paint! Also, with the #82, Meguiar's recommends either the W-9006 Finishing or the W-8006 Polishing pad with a speed of 1000-1500 RPM with the rotary. Here is Meguiar's recommended pad and speed combinations:

Using a higher speed especially with a wool pad will instill buffer marks and may burn the paint. The higher speeds are sometimes used on Gel Coats, but not on automotive paints.

Hey Tim DID NOT use a rotary. Just my orbital. I think there is a learning curve working with 83 (first time). I think I am not working it long enough.

Did a fender for several minutes and WHOA it looked good!! Not sure just how long to hold the machine in place and for how lond. I am learning.
I am using a terry bonnet is that ok?

          Not giving up yet!!
