  • Please Help:

    Hello,
I just recently purchased a '66 Nova II and the paint is about two years old. It appears to have had some "bad" paint prep before being painted. For the most part the paint looks really good, except in a few areas. There are "bubbles or bumps" in the paint or the clear...I'm not sure. I want to try fixing the problem myself before having it wet sanded. The paint in a few spots appears hazy/dull. I also want to remove some hairline scratches...but I don't know where to start with prep and product. Please help. I don't mind doing it all by hand, as a matter of fact I enjoy it. I just need some direction. It is not a $10,000 paint job, but it looks good and I want it to look better. Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated. I also wanted to ask what I can use on my glass to give it that beading effect without using Rainx? Any ideas? Please help...I'm looking forward to your suggestions. Thank you.

scratch x, dc1, and ckaying are always good places to start for bringing the life back to abused paint

For the windows, you could wax them. Cleaning them with NXT Glass Cleaner make it bead too, from what I have heard...

I will let some more experienced people suggest something for the other stuff.
