I think Hot Shine in the trigger spray bottle works best for me, as it tends to dry after a while.

BTW, welcome to the forum hardnox1!

For me, it depends on the sidewall characteristics of the tire. The tires that I have now are Yokohomas and they have a ribbon of "ribs." Just about any tire shine will sling when applied to these tires.

two exceptions for me(within the meguiars line):

    #40
    GC original endurance

With my old Falken 512's I didn't have much trouble.

Have you cleaned/ scrubbed the tires with a good APC? I use Meguiars SuperDegreaser or Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner and a nice bristle brush. If the tires have a build up of old tireshine and dirt (look closely at the tire and take you finger nail to see if black/brown grime comes off) then new tireshine will have difficult time staying put. I use Hot shine sometimes on my ranger, I have Falken tires on my cobra rims, these tires have a lot of raised writing and when are dirty the tire sine will sling, but when tires are clean it stays put. Also dont drive the car for at least a half an hour.

Out of curiosity, which tire product have you been using? Did you try removing with a QD spray at all?

No matter how hard i try after a night out with the guys i find myself cleaning my Equinox the next morning because that stuff that looks sooooooo nice on the tires some how atracts to my nicely waxed paint, not only does it look like c!#p but it is a pain to get off. I tried to apply with a rag (unsuccessful), I tried to rub in with a rag ( that just took it off unsuccesful), I tried to apply then blot with a couple of paper towels only lost the shine (unsuccessful) My question now is it worth the hassle or not, if so any ideas on how to STOP my ever so persistant problem
